On the 13 minute mark Waikato had clean ball off the top of the lineout which was spread to the backs. Crowe made a busting run up field and from the following phase Bryn Gatland received the ball and put a chip kick through, which was gathered by Te Maire Martin to score. The try was converted by Richards-Coxhead.
By this time Waikato were in full swing and moving the ball and building phases, which the Thames Valley team had no answer for.
