Perfect fine sunny day at Blake Park, Mount Maunganui
First half:
The game started with Waikato running at full pace, with the forwards dominating strongly allowing the Waikato backs to unleash. Waikato soon began scoring tries almost at will and had quickly warpped up the bonus point. The game was definitely getting away from Bay of Plenty who did not offer any serious attacking play against Waikato. The score at half time had hit the 50 point mark.
Second half:
The second half continued the same way as the first with Waikato dominating once again, with both forwards and backs all having a crack at the line. The game seemed to lose its structure as the opposition were fading as the game went on. As there were so many tries scored it was hard to name each player at what time of the game they scored! Waikato came out on top by a whopping 88-0.
