Waikato Rugby Union appoint two new board members.


The Waikato Rugby Union Appointments Committee have appointed two new board members. The newest members to join the Waikato Rugby Union Board are Jim Reardon and Kylie Harcourt, who replace departing board members Phil Harris and Anna Connell.

Reardon, has over 30 years’ experience in Finance, Banking and Investment Management in New Zealand, Australia and the UK banking. Since his return to New Zealand, he has been a Senior Member of the Westpac management team and is currently the Treasurer of Westpac and current chair of the Westpac New Zealand Pricing, Balance Sheet Management, and Asset and Liability committees, plus a board member of a number of Westpac subsidiary companies.

Harcourt, is a co-founder and director of HGB (Harcourt & Gage-Brown Ltd), a Hamilton-based strategic marketing consultancy. She has over 16 years of experience in marketing, fundraising and sponsorship and has worked closely with the Waikato Rugby Union in 2016 to help market, and sell out, the All Blacks vs Argentina game at FMG Stadium Waikato.

Waikato Chairperson, Colin Groves said “I am proud that our Mighty Mooloo rugby union can attract directors of this calibre and with this depth of knowledge, it is with real pleasure that I welcome Kylie and Jim to the Waikato Board.
